GV BRaIN Dinner a Huge Success

The recent Goulburn Valley Business Rural and Industry Network (GV BRaIN) business dinner was labelled a “huge success” by organisers this year attracting about 200 guests.
Network Chair Kylie Trevaskis said the dinner, held on 22 November, provided a chance for guests to network with each other and hear from inspirational speaker David Parkin, best known for his role as AFL’s Carlton Football Club coach.
“David recounted stories from his coaching and administrative days in the football world and showed how important it is to have drive and determination to succeed in every area of your life,” Ms Trevaskis said.
“It was a pleasure to have someone of David’s calibre at our dinner and we look forward to providing our community with more high profile and inspiring speakers.
“We were also lucky enough to hear from John Kriesfeld from Unilever Australasia who told the motivating story of the company’s dry food manufacturing plant relocation from Knoxfield to Tatura.
“Through the leadership of a group of people from the Tatura plant, the company overturned its original decision to move to Thailand.
“This is exactly the type of story our business community should be hearing and it’s great to see a company have so much confidence in the Goulburn Valley.
“One of the main goals of the business dinner is to create a social and relaxed atmosphere to allow a networking opportunity.
“It was delightful to see so many guests remain after the formalities of the evening had concluded.”
