The following days have been declared public holidays by the Victorian Government.

Good Friday - Friday 6 April
Easter Saturday - Saturday 7 April
Easter Monday - Monday 9 April
Anzac Day Monday - Wednesday 25 April
Queens Birthday - Monday 11 June
Melbourne Cup - Tuesday 6 November
Christmas Day - Tuesday 25 December
Boxing Day - Wednesday 26 December
Business owners need to be aware of the implications of these days, including restricted trading days for Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Anzac Day.

A revised Economic Development Strategy has been developed in response to the rapidly changing external environment. The strategy shapes the steps that the Greater Shepparton City Council will take to ensure a sustainable economic future for the region.

In October 2005, the Greater Shepparton City Council undertook a Business Survey throughout the Greater Shepparton region in which a number of surveys were distributed to local businesses. This document is the summary of the survey, released in March 2006. A new survey will be undertaken in the near future.
The Greater Shepparton Economic Development Strategy was adopted in February 2007 to support the Economic Development Department's Charter: To encourage and assist investment, whilst working to develop employment and business opportunities for the established and emerging economic sectors within the City of Greater Shepparton.
