Recent changes to the Local Government act require Councils in Victoria develop a Procurement Policy and publish it on their website.
The purpose of the policy is to provide clear guiding principles for Council in its procurement of goods and services.
The policy sets out the legislative framework within which Council operates and outlines the expected behaviour of Council Officers, suppliers and contractors.
The Procurement Policy is supported by Council's Procurement and contract Administration Manuals.
