Trees provide significant economic, social, environmental, ecological and aesthetic benefits to our communities and assist in the creation of neighbourhood character and identity of our urban streets.
The Council recognises trees as a living asset, and understands ongoing maintenance, renewal and management is required for long-term sustainability and community benefit.
The aim of Council's Tree Management policy is to formalise the Greater Shepparton City Council's commitment to the preservation and enhancement of its urban environments through providing and maintaining high quality trees in Urban Zones.
