Governance is the process of decision making , including the way Council engages with the community throughout the process.

Good governance is participatory, consensus oriented, accountable, transparent, effective and efficient, equitable, inclusive and law abiding.

Greater Shepparton City Council has controls in place to provide for good governance and ensure that the public can access, understand and participate in Council activities.

Whistleblower Procedures
The Greater Shepparton City Council (“the Council”) is committed to the aims and objectives of the Whistleblowers Protection Act 2001 (“the Act”). It does not tolerate improper conduct by its employees, officers or members, nor the taking of reprisals against those who come forward to disclose such conduct.
