Unwanted chemicals may harm the environment when you pour them down the sink or put them in the rubbish bin. Detox Your Home allows you to dispose of these chemicals safely.
Permanent Facility
Shepparton resource recovery centre houses a permanent detox your home facility which takes domestic, batteries, paint, fluro tubes gas bottles and motor oil.
Businesses of any sort are ineligible to use the Detox Your Home service and should instead contact a chemical waste disposal service provider, such as Chemclear: 1800 008 182. People looking to dispose of hazardous chemicals can either visit a mobile detox your home service or contact a chemical waste disposal service provider.
Mobile Service
Detox your home offers a mobile collection service for chemicals that permanent facilities are unable to accept. The mobile service accepts a wide range of household chemical products on scheduled weekends at specific collection sites around Victoria.
