Your kerbside recycling bin is the bin with a yellow lid and blue body and is collected on alternate fortnights to green organics, the same day your garbage is collected.
Recyclable plastic containers are identifed with a symbol normally located at the bottom of the container.
You may now include plastics containers numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7, in your recycling bins.

Councils resource recovery centres are able to offer a wider range of recycling services and are able to recieve most of the above items for recycling.
After your recycling has been collected, it is transported to the VISY materials recovery facility (MRF) in Springdale, where it is processed and recyclable materials are seperated from any contaminants.
Do not fill plastic bags with recyclables and put it in the recycle bin as plastic bags are NOT recyclable
If your bin is exceeding 80 kilograms in weight it will NOT be collected. Please remove material prior to the next collection.
