Domestic waste accepted with the provision to recycle many items not applicable to the kerbside recycling system. Please note large commercial loads may be directed to Cosgrove Landfill.

Council has a permanent Detox Your Home' collection service that accepts the following items free of charge: paint, batteries, gas bottles and fluorescent tubes.

Greater Shepparton City Council offers residents and businesses a Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) recycling service.
WEEE or e-waste includes all home entertainment components, including TVs and DVD players, computer equipment, including monitors and printers, office electronics and most items that can be plugged in and switched on. White goods are not included in this waste category.

Greater Shepparton City Council is committed to the conservation of the environment. The reduction of waste to landfill is an essential component of this commitment.
We have a construction and demolition waste recovery centre at the Shepparton Transfer Station (resource recovery centre) on Wanganui Rd. This centre takes in clean concrete (reinforced and non-reinforced), ashphalt, bricks and roofing tiles.
The crushed material produced by this process is available for sale (subject to availability). It makes an excellent sub-base in a road pavement and is also suitable for farm tracks, hard standing areas, and other uses where a quality fill material is required.

Please note only clean concrete, asphalt and bricks/tiles will be accepted. This means all reinforcement must be trimmed off the outside of the concrete.
Rubbish in loads
Loads contaminated with other rubbish will not be accepted. Every load will be inspected prior to tipping and you will be required to fill in and sign an entry log prior to proceeding.
No mixed loads
All loads should only contain a single material type, being:
Clean concrete, asphalt and bricks can be deposited at Shepparton Transfer Station for $22 per cubic metre.
All loads will be inspected prior to depositing and an entry log is required to be filled in and signed
Contaminated loads will be directed to the Cosgrove Landfill.
A loader is available to load crushed products on purchasing.
