This popular interactive concert provides students with the unique opportunity to experience the sound and excitement of a live symphony orchestra. As they learn about the instruments of the orchestra students are invited to express their ideas and use their imagination, move, listen, sing and even conduct the members of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
Classic Kids introduces the individual sections of the orchestra - strings, woodwind, brass and percussion - to children in an exciting, involving concert experience.
Presenters encourage young children to relate to the music and participate in accompanying activities including: communicating responses to the music and presentation; engaging with special character presenters; following a story; singing along; conducting the orchestra.
Suited to pre-school and lower primary aged students. Show runs approx 45 minutes without interval
