18 Mar — Shepparton’s Gowrie St Primary School will be the first school to launch the Walking School Bus Program on Monday 31st March, followed by Wilmot Road Primary School on Tuesday 8th April.  

15 Mar — With the transition from summer to winter sport fast approaching, sporting clubs are reminded about procedures for booking the Council’s sporting venues.  

15 Mar — VCE ART 2002 will open on Thursday 6th March at 6.00 pm at the Shepparton Art Gallery.  

14 Mar — The Greater Shepparton City Council today elected Crs Anne McCamish and Kevin Ryan to the positions of Mayor and Deputy Mayor respectively.  

14 Mar — A new program of repair works on roads around Greater Shepparton has been approved at today’s Greater Shepparton City Council meeting.  

13 Mar — The Greater Shepparton City Council will host ‘Live At The Park 5’, a free youth concert on Thursday 17th April.  

12 Mar — The Mayor of Greater Shepparton has expressed frustration at the lack of action on furthering discussions into train shunting hours at the High Street level crossing in Shepparton.  

11 Mar — Approval has been given to commence the preparation work that will enable an overlay to be applied to properties as recommended in the Greater Shepparton Heritage Study, which is close to being finalised.  

11 Mar — Opening at the Shepparton Art Gallery today is a new exhibition called, Home & Away: Place and identity in recent Australian art. The exhibition features a selection of paintings, photographs, sculptures and installations by 16 contemporary Australian artists.  

10 Mar — The first meeting of the Greater Shepparton Youth Council was held last week and youth representatives were officially appointed.  

10 Mar — This meeting provides an opportunity for members of the Youth Council to discuss ideas and projects of mutual benefit for youth and the community, and to share experiences in working on behalf of young people.  

9 Mar — The drumMUSTER recycling program has broadened the type of containers eligible for collection under the scheme this year.  

8 Mar — The Greater Shepparton City Council has welcomed the opening of the SheppARTon Festival and its program of events over the coming weeks.  

8 Mar — Interested members of the community are being invited to participate in a design forum to provide feedback on the proposed design and layout of the all abilities playground.  

7 Mar — The Greater Shepparton City Council, Parks Victoria and the Goulburn Valley Catchment Management Authority are working together to clean up our river frontages.  

7 Mar — The Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking public comment on the proposed road closure of Charters Street in Tatura.  

6 Mar — Elections for the Greater Shepparton City Council have been held, and the results are in.  

5 Mar — The Greater Shepparton City Council today appointed Leanne Mulcahy as a community representative for the Art Gallery Committee.  

5 Mar — The Greater Shepparton City Council has called for more family day care providers in the region.  

4 Mar — Residents with currently registered pets will receive renewal notices over the next couple of weeks, with registrations due by the 10th April 2003.
