Crikey.com founder to speak at GV BRaIN dinner

Steven Mayne, founder of media website Crikey.com.au is the guest speaker at the next Goulburn Valley Business Rural and Industry Network (GV BRaIN) dinner to be held in August.

Greater Shepparton City Council's Economic Development Manager Alicia Keogh said this is the third GV BRaIN dinner for 2008.

"May's event was very successful, with almost 200 people in attendance," Ms Keogh said

"Mr Mayne will share his experiences working in a government media unit, as well as his successes and failures in the media and business world.

"GV BRaIN is becoming a very strong network and the dinners are a great opportunity for businesses to come along be inspired by fantastic speakers.

"The dinners are informal, social and give attendees time to network with people from other businesses and industries.

GV BRaIN is an organisation that aims to encourage the development of the Greater Shepparton business community by providing opportunities for like minded individuals to meet and share ideas.

The cost of the dinner is $55.00 per person, which includes finger food, a two course meal and drinks.

The networking dinner will be held on Thursday 21 August from 6.30pm at the McIntosh Centre, Shepparton Showgrounds, Thompson Street, Shepparton.
