Grants are now available for community groups to carry out projects that will provide lasting benefits to the Greater Shepparton community.
The Department for Planning and Community Development, and the Greater Shepparton City Council have launched the small grants program to assist rural communities and community groups who have been directly or indirectly affected by the drought.
Grants of up to $500 are available to community groups and other organisations to organise events or programs that assist local communities to enhance community relationships, stronger neighbourhood support and leadership development.
Applications for this round of funding are now open and will be accepted until 5.00pm on Friday 23 November.
