GV BRaIN updates

News article released on Thursday 8 January 2009

The Goulburn Valley Business Rural and Industry Network (GV BRaIN) has secured an exciting line up of keynote speakers for the increasingly popular networking dinners in 2009.

The first dinner in February will feature journalist Phillip Adams and is expected to draw a large crowd.

GV BRaIN Chairperson Kylie Trevaskis said GV BRaIN is offering a special package for those people wishing to attend the four dinners.

"We are currently offering a four dinner ticket package, which will save attendees $40 over the year when compared with the cost of buying tickets individually for each dinner," Ms Trevaskis said.

"More than 400 people attended the most recent GV BRaIN dinner so it is becoming more important to secure tickets well ahead of time."

Speakers for the other 2009 networking dinners are former Leader of the Australian Democrats Natasha Stott Despoja, founder of Fernwood Women's Health Clubs Diana Williams and former marathon runner Robert De Castella.

REGISTER FOR BUSINESS NETWORKS

GV BRaIN is currently taking registrations for three new specialist business networks.

GV BRaIN Chairperson Kylie Trevaskis said the networks aimed to provide people with a chance to meet other like-minded people.

"The Young Professionals Network is ideal for a range of people including accountants, solicitors, medical professionals and financial planners," Ms Trevaskis said.

"The Entrepreneurs Network is perfect for entrepreneurial people with a flair for great ideas. This network presents a great opportunity to brainstorm and network with like minded entrepreneurs.

"The Home Based Business Network caters for businesses that are based from home. This network is open to a broad range of home based businesses including contractors, tradespeople, service providers and other small businesses which are based from their home address.

"The networks will meet on a regular basis and provide members with the chance to share ideas and resources.

"The Home Based Business Network is especially important, as it provides people who work from home with the opportunity to socialise and network with other people in the same situation."
