Australia Day 2009
Nominations are now open for 2009 Greater Shepparton Australia Day Awards.
Greater Shepparton City Council is calling for nominations for a Citizen of the Year and Young Citizen of the Year (aged under 27) for Arcadia, Dookie, Mooroopna, Murchison, Shepparton, Tatura and Toolamba.From the nominations in each town category the overall Greater Shepparton Citizen of the Year and Young Citizen of the Year winners will be announced.
There are also other awards for each town.
The Shepparton category also has a Shepparton Environment Award, Shepparton Sports Award and Shepparton Academic Award.
The Murchison category includes Murchison Sports Award, Murchison Junior Sports Award, Murchison Education Award, Murchison Club / Service Organisation Award.
The Tatura category has a Tatura Environment Award, Tatura Sports Award and Tatura Academic Award, Tatura Business Award.
The Mooroopna category also includes the Mooroopna Sports Award.
The Toolamba category also includes the Toolamba Community Service Award.
