Primary school students throughout Greater Shepparton used chalk to highlight what they love about their local towns and their ideas about what would improve their town.
During National Youth Week in April 2011 Council visited local primary schools within the region to hear from students regarding their views and opinions about their local community and to hear their dreams and visions for their local community for the future.
The 790 students at the 21 primary schools came up with some fantastic reflections about their towns and great ideas and designs for what they thought would enhance their towns in the future.
A summary report has been developed which provides an overview of the comments made by students through Chalk Talk.
