If your property has been flood affected check your home or buildings for damage before you enter
If your building has been flooded, all electrical and gas appliances should be checked by a licensed technician before you use them
Floodwaters are dangerous - never drive, walk or ride through floodwaters
Floodwaters are toxic - never drive, walk or ride through floodwaters
Don't walk, ride or drive through floodwater,
Don't allow children to play in floodwater,
Stay away from waterways and stormwater drains, and

Flood warnings always include a predicted maximum river gauge reading and estimated time of arrival of the peak. Property-specific flood charts , based on data collected in 2000, shows the approximate river gauge height when flooding of the property and floor level is likely to commence. Flood charts for your property can be obtained by entering your street address into the field below or by contacting Council.
