Flood Category Guide for Key Locations
Bureau of Meteorology flood warnings are categorised as Minor, Moderate or Major. The forecast peak level relative to the pre-determined flood level at various key locations determines the warning category.

Properties are likely to be either flooded or isolated with houses threatened or major traffic routes closed (eg Goulburn Valley Highway, Midland Highway Causeway, etc). Numerous evacuations may be required. | |||
