Breastfeeding Support Services
The following are a list of services avaliable to support breastfeeding mothers:
Goulburn Valley Health Lactation Unit
The Lactation Unit is a breastfeeding support service for women. The service is an all day stay unit and offers mothers support and advice relating to breastfeeding of their baby and settling techniques.

Australian Breastfeeding Association
The Shepparton Group for the Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) offers counselling, community education, electric breast pump hire and breastfeeding resources for loan. For more information about the group contact (03) 5800 1234.
The Australian Breastfeeding Association also offers a 24 hour Breastfeeding Support Helpline on 1800 686 2 686.
Maternal and Child Health
Your local Maternal and Child Health nurse can also provide breastfeeding advice and support. An after hours Maternal and Child Health advice and support line is also avaliable and can be contacted on 13 22 29.
FamilyCare Parent Child Program
The Parent Child Program is a FREE service to help parents with children from Newborn to 4 years old. The service offers assistance with:
Feeding: Specialising in breastfeeding issues, bottle, food refusal, weaning, returning to work.
Sleep: Settling issues, sleep disturbance, routines.
Toddlers: Behaviour and their management.
The program offers Daystay for 0-12 months and /or in Home Support for 0-4 years.
