Evaluation results have consistently conveyed strong endorsement of the value of this training.
The evaluation feedback has been strongly positive with recommendations and comments used to continually improve the program. The strengths of the training are perceived to be:
- That respected experienced senior representatives of leading family support agencies work in partnership to promote family centred practice; and share their knowledge and expertise
- The promotion of a collaborative approach to providing services to families in the early childhood sector
- Discussion in relation to the implementation of contemporary practice developments, such as 'Best interests case practice model' arising from the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 and the Child Wellbeing and Safety Act 2005 and the Child FIRST (Family Information and Referral Support Team) model
- The participant group is multi disciplinary with a mix of experienced and new staff – a great recipe for knowledge sharing, networking, stimulating discussion.

Evaluation reports from the 2010 and 2011 training sessions highlight the ongoing value and relevancy of this training.
