Rates

This year the rate rise of 6.95 per cent is in line with last year, the lowest for ratepayers in five years. The Council recognises that the ongoing impacts of the drought have caused considerable difficulties for many across our community. However, despite this, the City of Greater Shepparton has shown strong growth and is one of Victoria’s top four provincial growth areas.

Of the Council's total $117.3 million expenditure budget for 2009/2010, Council rates and charges revenue will contribute $45.117 million or 47.35 per cent.
