Sports development and facility planning go hand in hand, for without a comprehensive facility planning program sport cannot develop in the region.

Sports development and facility planning go hand in hand, for without a comprehensive facility planning program sport cannot develop in the region.  The provision of a suitable sport or recreation facility can greatly enhance quality of life.  Activities held within the sporting and recreation area can encourage participation, promote health and well being and foster a sense of community.  Quite often sport development is reliant on a facility being able to cope with the additional demand of more participants or extra competitions.  Planning a sport or recreation facility is a very involved and sometimes difficult task.  The benefits associated with additional sport or recreational facilities are often invaluable and well worth the process involved in developing them.
