The Council prides itself on its proactive approach to the development and maintenance of high quality turf sports fields and strives to be a leader in the application of professional turf management practices.
The Council’s Leisure Services and Operations Department’s have been working together over the past several years to introduce cutting edge turf management and maintenance initiatives that raise both the quality and safety of our sports fields. This has included the introduction of drought tolerant warm season grasses and drainage and irrigation system upgrades.
It is the Council’s general vision to have all sports fields raised to a generally high and safe standard over the next several years.
